2023 Trending Korean Concealer : The Saem Correct Beige Detailed

Why I Searched for This Concealer

I stopped using cream-type concealers a few years ago because most of them were too dry. They would settle into wrinkles, and none effectively covered my dark circles. Since then, I’ve relied on BB cream combined with an orange lipstick as a corrector.

When I heard this product was trending in Korea in 2023 and saw positive reviews, I became curious to try it myself.

Product Overview: Correct Beige Concealer

This concealer comes in five shades, and I chose Correct Beige, which combines clear beige, green, and peach tones.

While Dark Beige is designed specifically for dark circles, I opted for Correct Beige because I wanted a product that could address not only dark circles but also redness around the nose and dark blemishes.

Shade Breakdown:

  • Clear Beige: Covers blemishes, suitable for Korean foundation shades 21–23.
  • Peach: Neutralises bluish tones and dark circles.
  • Green: Reduces facial redness.

Pros: Creamy, Natural Coverage

The texture is soft and creamy, making it easy to apply without being too dry or matte. It doesn’t settle into wrinkles, which is a big improvement over older cream concealers.

Application Tip:

  • Use a damp sponge (squeeze out excess water) and tap gently until blended.
  • Some sets also include a concealer brush, which can provide more precise application.

Coverage:

  • Green and beige tones match my skin well.
  • One to two layers are usually enough for natural coverage, unless the blemish is very dark.

Cons: Limited Dark Circle Coverage

Despite high expectations, this concealer doesn’t fully cover dark circles. Mixing green and peach tones helps, but my dark circles are still visible.

Honestly, for stubborn dark circles, even the best concealers may not give perfect coverage. Some people might need additional treatments like fat redistribution or eye fillers for a dramatic improvement.

Ingredients & Skin Considerations

Potential irritants or allergens:

  • Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Fragrance, Linalool, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

Ingredients to watch for sensitive or oily skin:

  • Paraffin, Microcrystalline Wax: Petroleum-derived; may cause skin issues.
  • Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Squalane, Sweet Almond Oil: Highly moisturising, but can clog pores or cause breakouts for oily skin types.

Conclusion

This Correct Beige Concealer is ideal for those looking for a moisturising, natural-coverage product that addresses redness and minor blemishes. However, if your main concern is stubborn dark circles, it may provide only partial coverage.

Tip: Pairing it with a colour corrector or using multiple layers can help improve results.
